Mormon ChurchMormonchurch.com is not an official website of the Church, but one created by faithful members who would like to engage in a conversation about who we are and what we believe with interested friends of other faiths. Our aim is to have individual members of the Mormon Church, from every walk of life, respond openly to your questions about the teachings, beliefs, and lifestyles of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is Mormonism as Mormons themselves see it–a glimpse into their everyday lives and what they really believe. Find out what we really believe instead of taking the word of people who don’t really know. We don’t like to debate religion, but we do love to talk about it.

Does the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse this website as it does “LDS.org?”

Why did God say that thou shall not make any image in the likeness of anything in heaven above (paraphrasing the specific part of the 2nd Commandment which I am concerned about)? Doesn’t the phrase, “anything in heaven above” include God, Christ, Moses, John the Baptist, Moroni, angels, etc?

  2. Gale Says:

This website was created by everyday Mormons (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and LDS.org is an official website of the Church. There are no icons in LDS Churches or Temples — no statues of deity or biblical figures. We do, however, have artwork depicting the life of Christ in church meetinghouse classrooms (not the chapel, where we worship) and in the halls of temples.

My brother is living in Togo, Africa and he is a member of the church. He would like to be a missionary in the USA. Please let me know how he will process.

Here is the link for the missionary application! We are so excited to hear of his desire to serve and would love to know when he gets his call!
