I am LDS and was looking for info to include in my young women lesson I am teaching about tithing. I had no idea that the money to help with living expenses for the Prophet and apostles didn’t come from tithing. That is an interesting thing to know and important too, because I have had many people make rude comments about tithes being used to pay for fancy clothes/cars/etc for church leaders.
