Temples and Eternal Marriage
One of the most commonly asked questions is why Mormons, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), get married in temples. Mormon temples are sacred buildings that look like contemporary castles. Visitors passing by a Mormon temple frequently remark that the temple resembles a modern palace. However, the temples are more than that. They are buildings where special ceremonies take place. One of these ceremonies is temple marriage.
